Women of Afghanistan under Taliban rule

Slavery in the name of Islam!
Since coming to power. the Taliban have created an atmosphere of fear, isolation and violence against women. depriving them of basic human rights. Women in Afghanistan do not exist as humans, are not treated as human and were taken away the basic rights every human has in this planet. They have been imprisoned inside the walls, with no escape from the darkness the Taliban have landed on them.
We in Iran know very well how the dark forces of religion can affect the lives of millions when violence is the only language used to silence us. We didn’t let those dark forces to succeed. We fought in every way we could and made sure that we keep our dignity, respect and integrity in the face of attacks from the religious fanatics who had taken over our lives and our country.

To fight the forces of darkness and to keep our dignity and our rights was not easy but we were determined not to lose hope and not to let them win. Today, although we are still far from the ideal world we envisioned, we can breathe and fight further.
We witness the suffering of our sisters in Afghanistan and we are prepared to help them to fight the same dark forces who have taken over their country. We are standing with our sisters in the beautiful city of Herat which was once part of the ancient kingdom of Khorasan. We have a lot in common. We have histories together and must fight for the people who were once part of our history. We understand the struggle for freedom, for dignity and basic rights and we will give support to our sisters in Herat and other communities in Afghanistan who are fighting against oppression and violence.
