In the Rose Garden

The enciunter

I was walking on that crowded street

looking for a memory of the past

unaware that far beyond the horizon

tine has erased my words.

Then the echo of your steps one by one

resounded in my heart

the music of gods.

One step forward, and two steps

deep into the mist.

I heard someone call my name.

It wasn’t you.

Someone stole your smile.
It wasn’t me.

Your smile was there on your lips.

Nothing reached me.

You and your smile reached your des.

I never did.

From among the crowd, your voice echoed

in the mist.

I know, I know you were there.

Here, right at that moment in time.

But as the mist cleared

the faces appeared one by one.

I was there, but you and your smile

were there no more.
