در میانه آشوبهای اطراف و اکناف روز ۸ مارس روز بزرگداشت مقام زن در جهان شناخته شده است. زنان اما بعنوان تیمی از جمعیت جهان شاید وباید که همه روزها، روز آنان باشد. همانگونه که همه روزها، روز مردان است. ما زنان در قرن ۲۱ هنوز هم باید در روزمشخصی به جهان یاد آور شویم که تیمی از جمعین جهانیم و باید بتساوی سهمی از منابع و ثروتهای مادی ومعنوی جهان داشته باشیم و بهمان نسبت، نیمی از بار مسیولیت اداره جهان. اما واقعیت های پیش رو و ورق های تاریخ غیر از آن را باز گو میکنند. زنان در جای، جای جهان نه سهمی از ادارهجهان بتساوی دارند، که اگر می داشتند شاید جهان آرامتر و مهربانتر اداره میشد ، و نه سهمی بتساوی از ثروتجهان. زنان اما کمترین سهم را در تخریب جهان، در تخریب محیط زیست، در جنگ افروزی و ویرانی جهان، درکشتار انسانها و حیوانات و خشونت افروزی دارند. اگر اداره جهان بدست زنان میبود، شاید ما شاهد خشونت های ویرانگر در عرصه های گوناگون نمی بودیم. شاید باجهان و ساکنان جهان مهربانتر بودیم. مرزها را بین ملل گوناگون با دوستی و مهربانی تقسیم میکردیم. به کودکاندرس آشتی و انسان دوستی میدانیم، نه قدرت طلبی و تسلط گرایی و تقسیم انسانها به برتر و پایین دستتر، به رنگهای برتر و انسانهای باهوش تر. اکنون که با تلاش بسیار زنان، روزی برای آنها برسمیت شناخته شده است، شاید در این روز به مردان یاد آور شویمکه در کنار ما روز مردان را نیز گرامی بداریم و شانه به شانه، با کره کوچک خود مهربانتر باشیم. مرزهای خودساخته ویرانگر را از میان برداریم و بجای آن بذر دوستی و برابری، بذر عدم خشونت بر همسایه و بذر صلح جهانیبه پاشانیم، تا شاید بتوانیم دست در دست هم ریشه خشونت های مذهبی و باورهای قومی و تعصبات جنسیتی وجنگ طلبی ها و کشور گشایی ها و تخریب همه آنچه طبیعت بما میدهد را بخشکانیم.
