Azadi Network presents
On the morning of October 8, Azadi Network in collaboration with Lib-Dem MP, Sara Only invited organised an early morning breakfast meeting with a number of MPs and other political figures in the terrace of the Westminster, overlooking the river. The hall was packed and the session began with Sara Only speech, followed by Dame Helena Kennedy, director of amnesty international, honourable Emily Thornby and other speakers. Iran’s human rights situation was the centre of all talks. Negin Shiraghaei, director of Azadi Network was the last speaker. The session provided enough information about the dire situation in Iran and those present all agreed that something must be done. But the questions of What? How? and When remained unanswered hovering in the minds of those who were there.
